Late lunch. Sandwich day. Reubin's for the adults and a grilled cheese for the child. All served with chips and pickle.Would return again.

We can always count on Madison for something a little different. Living in a large city we are accustomed to chain restaurants and this is definitely not your typical chain food. We ordered an Italian and a Ranch Sandwich both were absolutely perfect. The sandwiches were delicious and extremely filling. We also ordered some of the best sweet tea we have ever had. We will definitely be back this summer and look forward to dining outside on our next trip. Thanks ladies!

Alyssa was our waitress and she was super nice!We got the Frisco Burger and Hot Brown which wass super great. Nothing was too salty or too tangy. 100% recommend.

I wish I would have taken pictures of my food. The potato soup and union jack sandwich were excellent. I've had potato soup but nothing like this place. It was exceptional. Honestly I could go here for lunch 2-3 times a week. To the staff and owner keep doing what you're doing. Also try their cookies or cakes their great too.

Fresh food and delightful staff make the Downtowner a charming and delicious choice for dining. The menu is primarily sandwiches and salads, but the quality of ingredients sets Downtowner's items apart and worth a visit. Their oversized cookies are famous in Madison. After tasting one, I am happy to spread the word. Enjoy picturesque downtown Madison and rejuvenate with some grub at the Downtowner.
